The Edmond Association of Classroom Teachers advocates for its members and improves their work life.

There are many ways to become more involved with The Edmond Association of Classroom Teachers! These include:

  • Joining a committee: We have five! They include elections, budget, legislative, communications, and membership (organizing). These committees have two to three meetings a year.
  • Becoming a building representative: There is one monthly meeting. Can be shared with two or more members in your building. Find out how this membership driven organization works! Most meetings are open so all members can come.
  • Becoming a member of the Political Action Committee (PAC) of the Oklahoma Education Association: This requires a donation to the PAC, but you can be involved in interviewing political candidates.
  • Going to Delegate Assembly: This involves going one half day in the spring and find out how the state organization works.
  • Going to Professional Developments provided by the Oklahoma Education Association or The Edmond Association of Classroom Teachers: Many of these are trauma-based or racial diversity training.
